Thank You & Reflection on January

As we move forward into February, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic work completed in January. A huge thank you to all our staff for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism across all our events and venues. Your efforts ensure that CrowdSafe UK continues to deliver outstanding safety and security services.


From major football matches to high-energy concerts, our team has been busy ensuring the safety of thousands of attendees. Your contributions do not go unnoticed, and we are proud of the teamwork and commitment displayed by each and every one of you.

Football Fixtures – Games Coming Thick and Fast

Our work with football clubs continues at pace, and we’re proud to provide security and crowd management for the following teams:

Busy Events Calendar – January & Beyond

Our teams have been actively working across multiple venues, including:

 

  • Cambridge Corn Exchange: Recent events included Whitney – The Tribute, The Jam, Bonkers Bingo, and the Chinese New Year Celebrations, with many more exciting events on the way.
  • Stoneleigh Park: A fantastic month of shows, including the MG Triumph Show and Dairy Tech, among others.
  • Other Key Locations:
    • Kingsgate
    • Bedford Blues
    • Northampton Saints
    • Coventry Arena

We appreciate everyone who contributed to these successful events, and we look forward to an even busier schedule in the coming months.

Looking Ahead – February & March

With summer fast approaching, the event season begins to ramp up. One of our busiest signals for this is the Cambridge Half Marathon on March 9th. Please take note of the key dates below and ensure your availability is set on Parim:

Exciting News – Growth & Expansion

Peterborough Cathedral – Preferred Supplier

We are excited to announce that CrowdSafe UK is now the preferred security supplier at Peterborough Cathedral. This historic and stunning venue, known for its incredible gothic architecture, hosts a range of spectacular events. We are thrilled to provide our expertise in ensuring the safety of all attendees and staff at upcoming events.

CrowdSafe UK Expands – Introducing CS Security

Growth continues! We are excited to launch CS Security, a brand-new security division within CrowdSafe UK. This expansion allows us to broaden our services and offer a more comprehensive security package to businesses, venues, and the general public.

 

CS Security Services Include:

 

  • Mobile Patrols – Scheduled and random security patrols to ensure the safety of sites and properties.
  • Keyholding Services – Secure key storage and response solutions to prevent security risks.
  • Alarm Response – Rapid deployment to alarm activations to minimize potential threats.
  • CCTV Monitoring – Remote surveillance and live monitoring to enhance security measures.
  • Vacant Property Security – Protecting unoccupied buildings from vandalism, trespassing, and damage.
  • Door Supervision & Manned Guarding – Professional security personnel for a range of events and locations.
  • Event Security – Tailored crowd management and safety solutions for public and private gatherings.

This new department represents an exciting opportunity for CrowdSafe UK to grow its presence in the security sector while offering additional employment opportunities for our staff. If you are interested in being part of CS Security, please reach out to management to discuss potential roles and training.

Training & Development

ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) Training

If your ACT training is over a year old, please refresh it as soon as possible.

NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety

Enrollment has begun for our second course. The Learning Curve Group will be in contact for any required information – please complete it promptly.

This important training booklet focuses on identifying and assisting vulnerable individuals. All staff must complete this booklet.

Reminders

Parim Updates – At the end of each month, please refresh your Parim and submit any queries before the 10th.

 

Fuel Reimbursement – Claims must be made Monday to Friday at the office. Please plan ahead.

 

Uniform Policy – It is essential that all staff adhere to the dress code:

 

CrowdSafe uniform OR white shirt, black trousers, black shoes/boots

 

Coats, hats, gloves, scarves – Plain black only

 

Professionalism & Respect – Always treat colleagues, members of the public, and clients with respect. CrowdSafe does not tolerate poor behavior from staff.

Mental health is just as important as physical well-being. If you ever feel overwhelmed, support is available. Here are a few helplines:

Employee of The Month

Congratulations Paul Short Crowdsafe UK employee of month for January 2025

 

Paul joined the Coventry office in January 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in the exhibition event industry from his previous work with the NEC Group.

 

Although predominantly based at Stoneleigh, he has also assisted us at CBS Arena and Aston Villa. While he has supervised several smaller events at Stoneleigh, he truly proved his worth when managing a new cheer and dance event held there in January.

 

The event was far busier than expected, running overtime on both live days. Paul kept the staff motivated through their long shifts, leading by example by covering positions during breaks and assisting the cleaners when needed. He even stayed on after the event to help with the post-event cleanup and was highly praised by the event organisers for his can-do attitude and helpful nature.
