As an SIA Door Supervisor, you will be a vital part of the stadium’s security operation, handling crowd control, managing access, and responding to incidents with professionalism and authority.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Access Control: Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel and fans are granted entry.
  • Conflict Resolution: Handle challenging situations calmly and professionally, including disputes or disruptive behaviour.
  • Crowd Safety: Oversee the movement of fans within the stadium, preventing overcrowding and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Incident Response: Act swiftly to manage security incidents, emergencies, or safety concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Search Procedures: Conduct bag checks and searches at entry points in line with the club’s safety policies.
  • Emergency Protocols: Assist with evacuations and provide guidance during emergencies, ensuring the safety of all attendees.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide a courteous and approachable presence, assisting fans with queries while maintaining a secure environment.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with stewards, supervisors, and emergency services to ensure a smooth and safe matchday operation.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A valid SIA Door Supervisor License is essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willingness to travel to and from Aston Villa Football Club independently.
  • Availability for Saturday or Sunday afternoons, as well as midweek evening games.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to handle challenging situations.
  • Provide a 5 year checkable work history.
  • Preferred but not essential:
    • Previous experience in door supervision or event security.
    • NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety or willingness to work towards it (training provided).
