As a steward, you will help create a safe and welcoming environment, working closely with supporters and staff to deliver an exceptional matchday experience.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Crowd Management: Oversee the movement of fans in and around the stadium, ensuring safety and preventing overcrowding.
  • Customer Service: Provide a friendly, approachable presence, assisting fans with directions, queries, or concerns.
  • Access Control: Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, checking tickets and ensuring only authorized individuals gain entry.
  • Safety Monitoring: Identify potential risks or hazards and respond quickly to any incidents, escalating as necessary.
  • Emergency Response: Support evacuation procedures and assist in managing emergency situations in accordance with training and protocols.
  • Stadium Rules: Enforce the club’s policies, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow stewards, supervisors, and emergency services to deliver a seamless matchday operation.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willingness to travel to and from Kenilworth Road Stadium independently.
  • Availability for Saturday or Sunday afternoons, as well as midweek evening games.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Preferred (but not essential):

  • Previous stewarding or customer service experience.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety or willingness to work towards it (training provided).
